To be a lighthouse of God’s glory to Pasadena and the surrounding area by:

  1. Creating a Habitation for the manifest presence of God.
  2. Sharing the light of the gospel with the Lost.
  3. Living the life that honors and brings glory to God.

What we Believe

  1. The Bible is the infallible, inerrant, inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:15-17)
  2. One true God existing as the Trinity, The Father, The Son, and the Holy Ghost.  (John 15:26)
  3. The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. (John 1:18)
  4. The Fall of Man and his need of redemption. (Romans 5:12-19)
  5. Salvation through the atoning work in the life of the believer and the church. (Rev. 13:8)
  6. The Holy Spirit and His work in the life of the believer and the church. (John 14:16-17)
  7. The church and it’s mission. (Recognizing gifts, equipping, edifying, evangelizing, exalting)
  8. The call to Ministry. (5-Fold Ministry)
  9. Divine Healing. (Isaiah 53:3 & James 5:14)
  10. The second coming of Christ (Rapture, Tribulation, 2nd Coming, Millennium)
  11. Final Judgements (Bema, Great White Throne)

The Pentecostal Distinctive (Holy Spirit operations and manifestations)

  1. Infilling of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues as in Acts 2:1-4
  2. Operation of the Gifts of the Spirit in the church as in I Corinthians 12-14

 

What you might see or experience in a Pentecostal service or when encountering the Holy Spirit.

  1. Praying in tongues, tongues and interpretation, other gifts of the Spirit.

  2. Lively praise & worship such as clapping, shouting, dancing, joyful noises.
    (He inhabits praise/Tabernacle of David.)
  3. Travail, Groaning prayer. ( Romans 8:26, Galatians 4:19)
  4. Falling (Slain in the Spirit) (Daniel 10:9, Revelation 1:17, 2 Chronicles 5:14)
  5. Shaking, jerking, trembling. (Jeremiah 5:22, 23:9, Habakkuk 3:16, Psalm 99:1)
  6. Bowing (Ezra 10:1, Psalm 35:13-14) (Note how Jews pray at the wailing wall.)
